Everything you need to know about Revealed, in one place. Features, industries, and the most common questions from both employers and candidates.
Revealed is a private hiring platform connecting professionals in Trust & Safety, Policy, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Privacy, and Operations with employers and recruiters. Candidates self-submit their profiles and remain completely anonymous until an employer pays to reveal their contact details. Search is always free. You only pay when you find someone worth reaching out to.
Revealed serves two audiences.
Talent: Professionals across Trust & Safety, Policy, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Privacy, and Operations who want to be discoverable without actively job hunting.
Employers and Recruiters: In-house hiring teams and recruiting agencies looking for pre-vetted, self-submitted candidates across these fields.
The most important difference is what you actually get when you reveal someone. LinkedIn gives you a profile the candidate built to be seen by everyone -- optimised, performative, and missing the details that actually matter in a hire. Revealed gives you information that exists nowhere else:
Personal pitch. In their own words, what they're proud of and what they want next. Not a summary written for a public audience.
Salary target. Their actual number, set privately. You know before you reach out whether the budget aligns.
Career goals. What kind of role, team, and environment they're looking for -- written for a specific employer, not for a public profile.
Company size experience. Whether they've worked at startups, enterprise, or both, and what they prefer going forward.
Current resume. Uploaded directly by the candidate. Not scraped, not three jobs out of date.
Direct email address. No InMail queue. No intermediary. You reach them directly.
Beyond the reveal itself: every candidate chose to be here, which means the pool is self-submitted and current. Search is unlimited and free. And because candidates are anonymous until revealed, there's no name or photo bias in who you decide to look at further.
Yes. Employers and recruiters sign up for a free account to access the candidate pool. Creating an account and searching is completely free. You only need to purchase reveal credits when you want to unlock a candidate's contact details. No subscription is required to get started.

No. Revealed started in Trust & Safety but covers a broader set of closely adjacent fields: Policy, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Privacy, and Operations. These are the areas where the hiring model works best -- niche enough that great candidates are hard to find on general platforms, but interconnected enough that employers often hire across several of them at once.
Possibly. The model works wherever great professionals are hard to find and existing hiring channels consistently fail them. If you think Revealed could be a fit for your field, email hello@revealedworks.com and we'll take a look.
AI Mode lets you describe the role you're hiring for in plain language, or paste a URL to a live job posting. Revealed fetches and parses the posting automatically, then scores every candidate in the pool against your requirements. Results come back ranked by compatibility, with a match score and a plain-English explanation of fit for each candidate. Search is unlimited and always free.
Search Mode lets you browse the full candidate pool using structured filters: role, specialism, seniority, location, target salary range, and availability status. You can use filters on their own or alongside AI Mode to narrow ranked results further. Free to search with no account limits.
Candidate Comparison lets you view two anonymised profiles side by side before spending a reveal credit. You can compare seniority, location, target salary, availability, and specialism for both candidates at once, without committing to either. Available in Search Mode and AI Mode.
My Reveals is your permanent pipeline of unlocked candidates. Every candidate you reveal is saved here with their full contact details: name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn profile, resume, personal pitch, target salary, and career goals. You are never charged for the same candidate twice. You can add private notes and track each candidate's pipeline stage from first contact through to hire.
After revealing candidates, you can select up to 8 and create a shareable shortlist. You send a private link to a hiring manager or client. The link shows an anonymised view of each candidate -- role, location, skills, and salary range -- but no names, emails, or personal details. The recipient marks each candidate as Interested or Pass, and their feedback appears live in your My Shortlists view. Shortlist links expire after 14 days and can be extended to 30.
Saved Search Alerts let you save any search -- AI Mode or filter-based -- and receive an email notification when new candidates matching that criteria join Revealed. The platform adds 5-10 new candidates daily. Alerts ensure you never miss a relevant addition without having to re-run searches manually.
Extended Pipeline Stages give Pro subscribers a recruiter-focused workflow in My Reveals. Standard employer accounts use the simplified pipeline: Contacted, Interviewing, Hired, Not a fit. Pro adds a full set of agency-style stages: Identified, Shortlisted, Submitted to client, Client interviewing, Offer made, Placed, Not a fit. All stages are visible across your full pipeline at a glance.
Every search you run is automatically saved in Past Searches. You can return to any previous search to review its results, or re-run it against the current candidate pool to surface new additions that match your original criteria. Available in all plans, including Starter.
The Profile Builder walks you through everything employers need to evaluate you, without revealing your identity. You'll provide your role, specialism, seniority level, location, remote preferences, availability timeline, target salary range, skills, expertise areas, a personal pitch, and your resume and LinkedIn URL. The full process takes about 7 minutes. Your name, email, LinkedIn, and resume are completely hidden until an employer pays to reveal you.
Your personal pitch is a short written description, in your own words, of what you're proud of in your career and what you want next. It's the first thing an employer reads after revealing you, and it gives them context that no CV or LinkedIn profile captures. Be direct: what have you built, led, or solved? What kind of role or environment are you looking for next? Candidates who write specific, candid pitches get better outreach.
The AI Profile Coach analyses your profile against what employers in your field actually search for. It gives you an overall strength score and specific, actionable suggestions for what to improve so you can increase your discoverability before the right opportunity comes along. You can re-run it after any profile update to see how your score changes.
A single toggle in your settings puts you in complete control of when employers can discover you. You can switch between actively looking, passively open, and fully paused at any time. Changes take effect immediately. Your current employer is automatically suppressed from finding your profile -- no action needed on your part. If you delete your profile, all your data is permanently removed.
Employers are currently joining via waitlist. Sign up at revealed.works/employer/ to request access and get a spot in the queue. Joining the waitlist gets you earliest access when your spot opens -- including the ability to search the full candidate pool for free before spending anything. We work through requests as quickly as we can and will reach out directly when your account is ready.
A reveal unlocks a candidate's full contact information: name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn profile URL, resume link, personal pitch, target salary, and career goals. One reveal credit is used per candidate. Once revealed, that candidate's details are saved permanently in your My Reveals page and you are never charged for them again.
Yes. Revealed works for both in-house hiring teams and external recruiting agencies. The Pro plan is particularly suited to high-volume recruiting. The candidate pool is pre-vetted and self-submitted, and Shortlists make it straightforward to present candidates to clients without exposing contact details prematurely.
Plus suits in-house hiring teams running one or two active searches at a time. Pro is built for higher-volume recruiting and agency use. It adds Saved Search Alerts (email notifications when new matching candidates join), Extended Pipeline Stages designed for the recruiter workflow, and client management tools for managing multiple client pipelines. Pro also includes priority email support.
Your Plus subscription is cancelled immediately and your unused monthly credits are preserved. The Pro plan's credits are added on top. You are only ever on one subscription at a time, and you never lose credits you've already paid for when you upgrade.
Go to Profile & Settings → Manage on Stripe. This opens the Stripe customer portal where you can view invoices, update your payment method, or cancel your subscription. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access and all credits until then.
Yes, always. Candidates join, build their profile, and appear in employer searches at no cost. You are never charged anything to be on Revealed.
Yes, and that's exactly the point. Many candidates on Revealed are passively open -- employed, not urgently searching, but curious about what's out there. You can set your availability status to signal this, and your profile stays completely private until an employer specifically chooses to pay to reach you.
Before paying to reveal you, employers see your role title, seniority level, location, specialism, skills, availability status, and the broad shape of your salary expectations. Your name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn URL, resume, and personal pitch are all hidden until they pay a reveal credit.
Employers enter their company name when signing up. Revealed automatically suppresses your profile from searches run by accounts associated with that company. The filter relies on text matching, so spelling variations may occasionally cause a mismatch. If you have any concern, pausing your profile is an immediate and reliable fallback -- your data is preserved and you can resume instantly.
Go to Settings in the Talent Portal and toggle your profile visibility off. Your profile disappears from all employer searches immediately. Toggle it back on whenever you're ready. Nothing is deleted -- your profile and all its data are preserved exactly as you left it.
Revealed does not currently notify candidates when their profile is revealed, in order to preserve the natural flow of employer outreach. The most direct signal is a message from a hiring team or recruiter who found you through Revealed.
Yes. Go to Settings → Delete profile in the Talent Portal. This permanently removes your profile and all associated data. If you'd prefer to simply stop appearing in searches without losing your profile, pausing is a better option -- you can always come back and resume with a single click.
Yes. Email hello@revealedworks.com with your request and we'll send you a full export within 5 business days.
Candidate personal information -- name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn URL, and resume -- is stored separately from their searchable profile. Employers and recruiters see only anonymised details (role, location, skills, seniority) until they pay a reveal credit. The paid reveal model also prevents bad actors from bulk-scraping contact information at scale.
No. Candidate data is never sold, used for advertising, or shared with third parties beyond the specific employer who pays to reveal a given profile. Revealed's revenue comes entirely from reveal credits and subscriptions. There is no data monetisation model running alongside it.
Anyone with the link can view the shortlist, but they only see anonymised candidate profiles -- role, location, skills, and salary range. No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or LinkedIn URLs are visible. Full contact details remain exclusive to the employer account that paid to reveal those candidates. Shortlist links expire after 14 days.
When employers sign up, they enter their company name. Revealed uses this to suppress candidate profiles from searches run by accounts associated with that company. The block is based on text matching, so if your current employer's name has common spelling variations, there is a small chance of a mismatch. Pausing your profile is an immediate and reliable fallback if you have any concern.
All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. Revealed never stores, sees, or has access to your card details.
Charging for reveals is a deliberate product decision, not just a revenue model. It prevents bad actors from accessing candidate contact details at scale, ensures employers have genuine hiring intent before reaching out, and gives candidates confidence that every message they receive came from someone who specifically chose them -- not a mass-send list.
